As part of its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and national development, DUCE is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant academic positions. 1. Assistant Lecturer – Political Science and Public Administration (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars for undergraduate programs.
Prepare and present case studies.
Conduct and publish academic research.
Participate in curriculum development.
Identify and support students with learning difficulties.
Provide academic mentorship and guidance.
Participate in consultancy and community outreach programs.
Attend workshops, conferences, and academic symposia.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field with at least a 4.0 GPA.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.8 from a recognized university.

Remuneration: As per Government Salary Scale – PUTS 2.1

2. Assistant Lecturer – Mathematics Teaching Methods (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver and manage classes in mathematics education for undergraduate programs.
Prepare practical case studies for student engagement.
Conduct and disseminate research in mathematics education.
Contribute to teaching and curriculum development.
Mentor students and provide learning support.
Engage in community and consultancy services.
Participate in academic symposia and workshops.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education, Science Education, or related fields with a GPA of at least 4.0.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or closely related fields with a minimum GPA of 3.8.
Acceptable academic backgrounds include BSc in Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Data Science, etc.

3. Assistant Librarian – Software Development (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct practical and theoretical sessions for library and information sciences.
Guide students in academic development.
Carry out software-related research and dissemination.
Take part in developing digital education tools and library systems.
Offer mentorship and intervention to struggling students.
Represent DUCE in national and international academic platforms.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Computer Science with a GPA of 4.0 or above.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant ICT-related field with a GPA of at least 3.8 from an accredited institution.
