Who Can Apply?
COPRA invites applications from Tanzanian citizens who meet the following qualifications:
- Hold a Form IV certificate (Ordinary Level Education)
- Possess a valid Class E or C driving license
- Have at least five years of driving experience without causing an accident
- Completed basic training in driving or vehicle maintenance from recognized institutions such as:
- VETA (Vocational Education and Training Authority)
- NIT (National Institute of Transport)
- Or any other government-accredited training center
Bonus: COPRA will prioritize applicants who hold a Public Service Vehicle (PSV) certificate.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will carry out the following duties:
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safety
- Drive staff to official destinations across the country
- Perform minor vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Deliver and collect official documents
- Log all travel details accurately in the vehicle record book
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained
- Handle any additional tasks assigned by their supervisor
Salary and Contract Terms
COPRA will offer successful applicants a fixed-term employment contract. Each driver will receive a salary equal to 83.4% of the standard driver pay scale within the organization.

- Be Tanzanian citizens aged 18 to 45
- Not currently hold any government employment
- Be ready to work in any location assigned by COPRA
- Submit a signed application letter, detailed CV, and three referees
- Attach copies of their birth certificate, national ID (NIDA), and verified academic certificates
- Include a certificate of service from a previous employer
- Provide a recommendation letter from the local government (Mtaa Chairperson)
- Ensure that foreign-acquired academic documents are verified by TCU, NECTA, or NACTE
- Note: Result slips, testimonials, and provisional results will not be accepted
COPRA will give special consideration to applicants from the following regions: Katavi, Tabora, Mwanza, Kagera, Simiyu, Singida, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Morogoro, Dar es Salaam, Mtwara, Ruvuma, Njombe, and Mbeya.
