About the Role

As Regional Product Launch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing new product launches (NPDs) across MSI’s Africa region. Your focus will be on ensuring that each launch is timely, impactful, and aligned with MSI’s mission to expand access to quality reproductive healthcare.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets (volume, revenue, margin)
  • On-time, milestone-driven product rollouts
  • Broad product uptake: % of new customers stocking products
  • High healthcare provider (HCP) prescription rates
  • Strategic engagement of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Effective marketing campaigns and measurable HCP recommendations
  • Performance across digital channels (engagement, reach, CTRs)

Reporting Line: Direct to the Associate Director – Africa Social Marketing, with an indirect report to the Head of Product Marketing and Trade Marketing.

Work Structure:

  • Full-time (2-year fixed contract)
  • Based in any MSI country programme with a functioning office
  • Requires approx. 40% travel across African country programmes

Core Skills & Expertise

New Product Development & Launch:

  • Expertise in the full lifecycle of product launches—from ideation and market analysis to financial modelling and post-launch analytics.
  • Strong execution of strategic launch plans with clearly defined timelines and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in market and competitor analysis across African healthcare environments.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory pathways, clinical data interpretation, and ethical pharma marketing.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Skilled in cross-functional project management and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Excellent communicator: capable of translating technical insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the cultural sensitivity to work across diverse teams.
  • Experienced in training and coaching sales or marketing teams on product features and value propositions.

Experience Requirements

  • 5–10 years in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing, with proven success in product launches.
  • Experience working in complex regulatory environments.
  • Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical mechanisms, pharmacology, and therapeutic categories.
  • Strong track record in leading product or service launches under tight timelines.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and deliver results under pressure.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Trade marketing or professional sales training certifications
  • Industry-recognized credentials in product marketing or healthcare sales
  • Previous experience developing Trade Marketing strategies in emerging markets

Role Details

  • Location: London (Hybrid: 2 days/week in-office) or any MSI programme country
  • Contract Type: Full-time, 2-year fixed term
  • Working Hours: 35 hours/week (Monday to Friday for UK-based staff)
  • Salary (UK): £40,000 – £51,000 + bonus & benefits
  • For applicants in other countries, the role will be remunerated according to local pay structures and terms.
