Position: LE-01 Locally Engaged Information Technology Professional (LEITP)
As a Locally Engaged IT Professional, you will serve as a key member of the Information Management and Technology (IM/IT) team. Your role will directly support the mission of the High Commission by ensuring the smooth operation of digital systems, end-user support, and modern collaboration tools. This role is essential in maintaining reliable and secure digital infrastructure across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support via email, video/phone conferencing, remote tools, and in-person within a service desk environment
- Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Windows systems and devices
- Maintain and monitor LAN (Local Area Network) systems and associated components
- Manage and support user devices such as desktops, laptops, and smartphones (Android/iOS)
- Facilitate collaboration using Microsoft 365 tools including Teams and SharePoint
Candidate Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both English and Swahili
- Education: Degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, including:
- User assistance via remote and in-person methods
- Windows OS and LAN support
- Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint) tools
- Managing desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
