About Good Neighbors Tanzania

Founded in South Korea in 1991, Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian NGO committed to building a world free of hunger, where communities coexist in harmony. With General Consultative Status from the UN ECOSOC, indeed the organization has been a key player in community development and child protection across the globe.

In Tanzania, Good Neighbors has been operational since 2005. The organization has been a cornerstone in promoting children’s rights and sustainable development. Since 2015, it has been actively involved in refugee response efforts in Kigoma, partnering with KOICA, WFP, and World Vision to implement projects focused on food security, social cohesion, and economic empowerment.

Position: Project Manager (1 Post)

  • Location: Kigoma Project Office (Kasulu, Kibondo, and Kakonko Districts)
  • Reports to: Country Director
  • Contract Duration: July – December 2025 (subject to extension based on funding, performance, and mutual agreement)

Key Responsibilities

As the Project Manager, you will lead the implementation and strategic direction of the Kigoma Project Office (KPO). Your duties will include.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Community Development, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in humanitarian or development work, with a strong preference for refugee-focused projects.
  • Minimum 4 years in a managerial position.
  • Proven expertise in agriculture, value chains, and livelihood support programs.
  • Strong collaboration skills with government, NGOs, and local communities.
  • Experience working in complex and volatile environments.
  • Previous experience in Kigoma is an added advantage, also
  • Fluency in written and spoken English; Swahili is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
