Mydia-Tz, a dedicated non-profit organization based in Tanzania, is currently seeking a Volunteer Programs & Grants Coordinator to join its vibrant team at the Kasulu office in Kigoma.   • Contract Type: Full-time Volunteer (40 hours per week)
  • Start Date: 1st September 2025
  • Compensation: Non-salaried role – Includes monthly communication allowance only

Role Overview: Programs & Grants Coordinator

As the Programs & Grants Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in leading program strategy, strengthening partnerships, and securing grant opportunities. Reporting directly to the Head of Programs, your work will directly impact youth-focused initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program planning, budgeting, implementation, and evaluations.
  • Lead grant research, proposal writing, and donor compliance management.
  • Map and engage with potential partner organizations aligned with Mydia-Tz’s mission.
  • Represent Mydia-Tz in external programmatic and financial management forums.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as needed to support program success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Planning & Management, Education, Community Development, Economics, Public Health, or similar.
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ volunteer experience in NGOs or community-based organizations.
  • Proven skills in project and grant budget management.
  • Strong writing, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity, adaptability, and a growth mindset.

Office Support Provided

While this is a volunteer-based role, Mydia-Tz provides:

  • Office space and basic working tools
  • Internet access
  • Monthly communication allowance

Please note: We currently do not offer salaries or transport allowances, except where projects are fully funded.

Preferred Candidates

  • Residents of Kasulu town, Kigoma Region
  • Women under 35 years old and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Applicants with experience in financial, administrative, or operations management will be prioritized
