Position: Electricians (08 Posts)

Qualifications Required

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Tanzanian national.
  • VETA Certificate in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering (Grade I, II, or III).
  • Trade Test Certificate recognized by the Ministry of Labour, Youth, Employment & Persons with Disability.
  • Ordinary Diploma or FTC in Electrical Engineering (preferred for senior roles).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in industrial or construction electrical work.
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals, also
  • Familiarity with Tanzania’s Electrical Installation Regulations and EWURA standards.
  • Valid EWURA Electrical Installation License (mandatory requirement).

Key Responsibilities

Selected electricians will be responsible for:

  • Performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in line with EWURA regulations and company standards.
  • Ensuring safe operation of electrical systems and equipment following OSHA Tanzania safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults efficiently.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
  • Conducting testing, calibration, and inspection of electrical systems.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Collaborating with supervisors and engineers to meet project timelines.
  • Installing and maintaining power distribution systems, lighting, and control systems.
  • Enforcing strict health, safety, and environmental practices, also
  • Guiding and mentoring junior electricians and apprentices.

Contract Duration

This is a fixed-term contract based on project requirements.

Work Location & Residency

  • Duty station: Chongoleani ward, Tanga City.
  • DOCG will provide food and camp accommodations at its temporary facilities, also
  • Selected candidates must stay within the provided camp accommodations.
