1. Assistant Supply Chain Intern – (2 Posts)
Work Station: Dar es Salaam & Bagamoyo
Reports To: Senior Procurement and Supplies Manager

Role Overview
The Assistant Supply Chain Intern will play a vital role in supporting procurement and supply operations at IHI. This includes vendor management, inventory tracking, procurement reporting, and administrative support to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Support: Assist in preparing purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders. Maintain accurate procurement records for audits.
- Vendor Management: Support supplier due diligence, onboarding, and performance monitoring. Maintain the approved supplier database.
- Inventory & Materials Coordination: Verify requested materials, liaise with stores for goods movement, and ensure timely vendor invoice submissions.
- Storage & Stock Management: Assist in proper storage, inventory checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Procurement Tracking: Update procurement status reports and maintain a register of awarded contracts.
- Administrative Support: Organize files, follow up document approvals, and support the supply chain team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management or Procurement and Logistics Management.
- Experience in a health-related research sector is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication in English and Swahili.
- Computer literacy and organizational skills.
- Customer service-oriented with teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- High integrity, results-oriented, and deadline-driven.
2. Assistant Nursing Officer – (3 Posts)
Work Station: Dar es Salaam
Reports To: Study Coordinator – MMS-MAP Study
Deadline to Apply: 7 September 2025
Role Overview
The Assistant Nursing Officer will work within the MMS-MAP Study, supporting data collection in antenatal clinics. This role involves clinical care, participant recruitment, specimen collection, and counseling to ensure the highest quality of care and research integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in clinical research following study protocols, SOPs, and GCP standards.
- Ensure participant protection, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Recruit study participants and conduct anthropometric measurements.
- Collect blood and other specimens, coordinating with laboratory teams.
- Provide counseling on psychosocial and nutritional issues.
- Accurately complete study forms and daily data entry.
- Foster positive working relationships between hospital staff and IHI teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- 4-year certificate or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).
- Previous clinical research or antenatal clinic experience is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in data entry using laptops.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
