About the Role
The Program Assistant (PA) is vital to implementing BRAC’s field-level programs across three main pillars:
- Social & Economic Empowerment – Supporting livelihoods, education pathways, and creating enabling environments for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW).
- AIM Livelihoods Pathway – Facilitating entrepreneurship and skills training, enterprise development, and market linkage support.
- Education Pathway – Mobilizing participants for peer mentor study circles, school-related support, and engagement with out-of-school adolescents.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Implementation: Lead participant selection, club setup, mentor onboarding, community mobilization, and activity supervision.
- Livelihoods Support: Conduct training, provide enterprise development support, coordinate market facilitation, and promote savings through VSLAs.
- Education Support: Distribute school-related costs, monitor attendance, engage parents, and link education with community programs.
- Enabling Environment: Form Youth Development Committees, map service providers, and support gender equality and social inclusion activities.
- Procurement & Reporting: Supervise mentors, maintain program documents, manage cash flows, and ensure timely submission of reports via BRAC’s MIS (BInsight).
- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety of team members and participants, adhering to BRAC’s safeguarding policies.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate/Diploma in Social Studies, Community Development, Gender and Development, Human Resources, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum one year in international development, community mobilization, or related sectors.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy, proficiency with digital reporting platforms, teamwork, communication, and community engagement.

About the Role
The Technical Sector Officer (Education) supports the AIM education pathway, ensuring high-quality delivery of education programs for very young adolescents (VYAs) and adolescent girls (AGs) aged 12-17 years. Working closely with regional and country teams, the officer adapts training modules, facilitates teacher professional development, and strengthens school leadership for inclusive and gender-responsive learning environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Develop/review curricula, teachers’ guides, and training manuals; support school improvement plans; provide guidance for peer mentors and tutoring programs.
- Operational Support: Facilitate training for PAs, teachers, and school management; ensure effective delivery of education interventions; follow up on monthly program activities.
- Coordination & Monitoring: Engage stakeholders including schools, PTAs, government officials, and alternative education providers; monitor progress, assess impact, and report to government and program managers.
- Reporting & Documentation: Contribute to program reports, document best practices, maintain data in BInsight, and support case study development.
- Safeguarding: Ensure safety and well-being of team members and participants in accordance with BRAC’s safeguarding policies.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree in Education, International Development, Gender, Sociology, Anthropology, or Social Sciences.
- Experience: 3–5 years in education training, curriculum development, gender equality, community engagement, and integrated programs for adolescent girls.
- Skills: Training development, staff capacity building, facilitation, report writing, computer literacy, and strong interpersonal skills.
