Position Overview
The Technical Account Manager – Tanzania will play a vital role in strengthening Mastercard’s client relationships, supporting banking partners, and ensuring the success of complex projects. Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with banks, third-party processors, and key stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor, resolving inquiries and escalations.

2. Technical & Business Expertise
- Leverage deep knowledge of Mastercard solutions to provide consultative support.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business value.
- Stay updated on payments industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies.
3. Sales & Growth Support
- Collaborate with account teams to identify revenue opportunities.
- Support pre- and post-sales activities with technical expertise.
- Develop strategies to expand product adoption and maximize customer value.
4. Project Oversight & Issue Resolution
- Manage project timelines and ensure alignment with client expectations.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement proactive solutions.
- Monitor post-implementation service quality and provide Voice of Customer feedback.
5. Strategic Leadership
- Identify opportunities to optimize revenue through innovation and existing technologies.
- Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance performance.
- Advocate for customer needs, influencing Mastercard’s product and service development.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Promote Mastercard Academy training and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions and review forums for clients.
- Support continuous education on compliance and new technologies.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
- Mid- to senior-level career experience in payments, fintech, or banking.
- Strong understanding of financial industry dynamics, regulatory requirements, and market trends.
- Proven track record in customer-facing roles, managing escalations, and delivering tailored solutions.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Ability to translate technology into business value.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of credit and debit card operations (issuing, acquiring, processing).
