Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing annual risk assessments and audit plans aligned with the company’s risk profile.
- Planning, executing, and evaluating internal controls to ensure a complete audit cycle.
- Conducting departmental, branch operations, special, and compliance audits.
- Performing forensic audits and fraud investigations when required.
- Identifying risks, trends, and irregularities in financial and operational data using data visualization tools.
- Assessing operational effectiveness at branches and client sites through field control tests.
- Preparing detailed, evidence-based audit and investigation reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
- CPA/ACCA, CIA, or CFE (full or part qualification) is required.
- IT background will be an added advantage.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in auditing, fraud investigation, or forensics.
- Experience in the microfinance industry will be a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a clean professional record, with no involvement in fraud cases (discovered or undiscovered).
