Key Responsibilities
As a Waiter/Waitress at Farm of Dreams Lodge, your main duties will include:
- Preparing tables with linens, silverware, and glasses.
- Maintaining a neat appearance and wearing your badge at all times.
- Greeting guests warmly and guiding them to their tables.
- Presenting the menu and providing detailed information about dishes, including ingredients and potential allergens.
- Informing guests about daily specials and making menu recommendations.
- Up-selling additional products when appropriate.
- Taking accurate food and drink orders using a notepad and pen.
- Ensuring compliance with minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages.
- Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Serving food and beverages efficiently.
- Clearing tables and carrying dirty dishes, glasses, and cutlery to the kitchen.
- Delivering checks and collecting payments.
- Following all health department regulations to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
Education and Qualifications
Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Hands-on experience with cash registers and order management systems.
- Certificate or diploma in Hotel Management.
- Bar and barista skills are a plus.
- Attentive, patient, and customer-focused.
- High level of personal hygiene and professional presentation skills.
