Scope and Purpose of the Job
The Staff Cooker will ensure that the camp’s staff are well served with meals while working closely with management to maintain a safe, smooth, and collaborative working environment. This position requires dedication, adaptability to the bush lifestyle, and a passion for delivering high-quality service in a remote location.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should meet the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- 1–3 years’ work experience in hotels, lodges, or restaurants.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to a bush environment and remote camp lifestyle.
- Commitment to delivering high levels of service and teamwork.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Knowledge of food production and kitchen operations is essential.
- Certificate or Diploma in Hotel Management.
- Basic knowledge of both English and Swahili languages.
- Willingness to be based in remote camps for extended periods.
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years.
