Qualifications (Who Can Apply)
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Age between 25 to 45 years.
- Minimum education level: Form Four Certificate.
- Applicants with National Service (JKT) or Militia training will be given priority.
- Must have no criminal record.
- Should be ready to work at any assigned station within the Council.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will perform the following tasks:
- Collect council revenue using Electronic Fiscal Devices (POS machines).
- Deposit collected funds into the Council’s revenue account within 24 hours on working days.
- Issue official POS receipts equivalent to the paid amount.
- Safeguard revenue collection tools and banking records.
- Verify daily collections and POS transaction reports.
- Submit revenue collection devices for inspection when required.
- Maintain accurate statistical revenue records at collection points.
- Inspect payment documents for goods and passenger vehicles.
- Conduct 24-hour inspections to ensure compliance.
- Perform any other revenue-related duties as assigned by the employer.
