Position: Front Desk Officer (Hospitality Industry)

Location: Arusha, Moshono
Industry: Hospitality & Tourism
Gross Salary: TZS 300,000
Start Date: Immediate

Job Overview

The Front Desk Officer will be the face of Planet Lodges, ensuring that every guest feels welcome from the moment they arrive until their departure. You will handle inquiries, reservations, and communications while maintaining a professional and positive attitude that reflects the lodge’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Handle room reservations and respond to guest inquiries promptly, especially through email and phone.
  • Maintain accurate records using the ResRequest system.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide guests with information about lodge facilities, tours, and local attractions.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns courteously.
  • Uphold Planet Lodges’ standards of hospitality and customer service at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience working in the hospitality industry (lodge, hotel, or camp).
  • Working knowledge of the ResRequest system (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A customer-first attitude with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
  • Good written and spoken English skills.
  • A proactive and positive personality with attention to detail.
