Role Summary
As an Accountant – Receivable, your primary role is to oversee customer accounts, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payment processing, and diligent follow-ups on outstanding balances. You will play a key role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity while delivering excellent customer service and adhering to internal policies and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Invoice Management
- Generate and issue accurate invoices on time using system applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and tax regulations.
- Keep detailed and organized invoice records.
2. Payment Processing
- Handle customer payments from multiple channels.
- Allocate payments correctly and conduct internal reconciliations.
- Match payments with invoices and bank records.
3. Customer Account Monitoring
- Monitor overdue accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Proactively follow up with customers via calls, emails, and meetings.
- Investigate and resolve payment-related issues promptly.
4. Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on receivables aging and collections.
- Present weekly receivables updates during Finance Saturday meetings.
- Identify risks, trends, and areas for process improvement.
- Submit daily collections reports to the Financial Controller, highlighting payment details and outstanding balances.
5. Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Support audit processes with accurate documentation.
6. Customer Engagement
- Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices and payments.
- Foster long-term client relationships to ensure timely payments.
7. General Support
- Assist in other accounting duties as needed.
- Contribute to process optimization within the finance team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office; SAP Business One is a plus.
- CPA qualification (completed or final level) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Familiarity with logistics/transportation and local tax compliance is beneficial.
