Job Summary
The Assistant Operations Officer plays a key role in supporting daily business activities, ensuring that inventory, procurement, and logistics processes run efficiently. This role is vital to the success of Ongeza AgroVet’s supply chain and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor agrovet stock levels and coordinate timely replenishments.
- Logistics Coordination: Support the distribution process, ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries.
- Procurement Support: Help in placing purchase orders based on sales forecasts and inventory needs.
- Supplier Communication: Work closely with suppliers to secure high-quality products and timely deliveries.
- Stock Verification: Check quality and quantity of incoming stock before updating inventory records.
- Sales Support: Respond to queries regarding product availability, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and supplier transactions.
- Reporting: Assist in compiling reports related to stock levels, procurement, and distribution efficiency.
- Stock Supervision: Track product returns, expirations, transfers, and storage conditions.
- Additional Duties: Take on any other operational responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in operations or logistics, preferably in the agrovet or agricultural sector.
- Familiarity with agricultural inputs such as seeds, pesticides, and veterinary products is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
