Current Openings: Retail Customer Service Assistant (2 Positions)
Location: Dar es Salaam
AutoXpress Tanzania operates 7 retail outlets in Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Mwanza, with plans to expand in the next 3–5 years. The Retail Customer Service Assistant role is a training position designed to lead into a Retail Customer Service Executive role. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about customer service, have an interest in the automotive sector, and are eager to develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers at the branch or via telephone.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Explain technical features and benefits of products, including demonstrations when necessary.
- Cross-sell products to enhance customer experience and company profitability.
- Liaise with Stores and Workshop departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Complete accurate transaction documentation and collect payments.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and communicate feedback to the Branch Manager.
- Keep customers informed about new products, services, or special promotions.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
- Conduct vehicle inspections with customers and explain checklists before invoicing.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the automobile industry or 2 years in customer service/marketing.
- Interest in automobile mechanics is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
