Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety.
- Driving staff to various official assignments.
- Carrying out minor vehicle repairs.
- Maintaining and recording trips in the official logbook.
- Collecting and delivering official documents.
- Cleaning assigned vehicles.
- Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
- Possess a valid Class E or C driving license with at least one (1) year accident-free driving experience.
- Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.
- Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.

- Must provide a detailed CV, active contact details, and three (3) reliable referees.
- Applications must be accompanied by certified copies of academic and professional certificates.
- Testimonials, provisional results, and result slips (Form IV & VI) will not be accepted.
- Applicants who studied abroad must have their certificates verified by TCU, NECTA, or NACTVET.
- Retired public servants are not allowed to apply unless with special permission from the Chief Secretary.
- Drivers applying must attach their driving training certificates that qualified them for Class E or C licenses.
- Any forged documents or false information will result in legal action.
- Applicants with name discrepancies in their documents must attach a sworn deed poll.
