The Role

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our Bolt Business team in Tanzania. You’ll focus on driving sales growth by reaching out to businesses, pitching Bolt Business solutions, and closing deals—mainly with SMBs and SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales funnel: from lead generation and cold calling to closing deals and pipeline management.
  • Design and execute smart outreach strategies to build strong relationships with medium-sized businesses.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, using data insights and strategic planning to drive performance.
  • Share progress reports with management and contribute to overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Product team by offering market feedback to help improve Bolt Business solutions.
  • Monitor trends in emerging markets, identify new opportunities, and remove market entry barriers.

About You

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably selling services to SMEs/mid-sized businesses.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets.
  • Strong record of sourcing and closing mid-market clients.
  • Fluent in both English and Swahili, with strong interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Analytical mindset and experienced in using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce).
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and demonstrates ownership and initiative.
  • A university degree is a plus, but not mandatory—what matters most is your drive, intelligence, and integrity.
