About Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL)
Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is a state-owned national airline of Tanzania, operating under the Companies Act (CAP 212) of 2002. The airline was re-established after the dissolution of the former Air Tanzania Corporation (ATC) and is 100% owned by the Government of Tanzania.
As part of its 5-year Corporate Strategic Plan (2022/23–2026/27), ATCL is expanding its fleet and enhancing passenger services to provide safe, reliable, and world-class travel experiences. To support this mission, the airline is seeking qualified Tanzanians to join its cabin crew team.
Position: Cabin Crew (80 Posts)
Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Form IV Certificate with at least four credit passes, including English.
- Ab-Initio Certificate from a recognized aviation institution or equivalent qualification, plus a Cabin Crew Member Certificate issued by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).
- Minimum arm reach of 212 cm while standing.
- Acceptable Body Mass Index (BMI).
- No visible tattoos when in Air Tanzania crew uniform.
- Fluency in both English and Swahili (an additional international language is an added advantage).
- Fulfillment of all Cabin Crew Member Manual requirements where applicable.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cabin Crew members at Air Tanzania will:
- Ensure safety, security, and comfort of passengers and fellow crew members.
- Deliver world-class customer service according to ATCL standards.
- Support on-time performance and assist passengers during flights.
- Maintain proper utilization of in-flight catering items and equipment.
- Report incidents and passenger feedback to senior crew members.
- Cooperate with Purser/Senior Crew to address customer needs promptly.
- Adhere to all cabin operations policies, aviation regulations, and ATCL procedures.
Terms and Conditions
- Contract Duration: Ten (10) years for Tanzanian candidates.
