Vacancies Available

1. The Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG)

Established through constitutional reforms in 2000, CHRAGG is Tanzania’s National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) and Ombudsman Office. It operates under the Paris Principles and Venice Principles, safeguarding human rights, justice, and the rule of law across the United Republic of Tanzania.

Accounts Assistant II (1 Post – Re-advertised)

  • Location: Pemba
  • Duties:
    • Maintain account records and registers
    • Handle petty cash and prepare vouchers
    • Receive and manage invoices and receipts
    • Ensure safekeeping of documents for audit
    • Deliver bank-related documents
  • Qualifications:
    • Certificate of Secondary/Advanced Education
    • Certificate in Accountancy or ATEC I from NBAA

Legal Officer II (1 Post – Re-advertised)

  • Location: Pemba
  • Duties:
    • Assist with legal research and case preparation
    • Draft legal documents
    • Offer legal advice under supervision
    • Promote public awareness of constitutional and human rights
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB)
    • Certificate from Law School of Tanzania

Driver II (1 Post – Re-advertised)

  • Location: Unguja
  • Duties:
    • Inspect and maintain vehicle safety
    • Transport staff and documents
    • Keep fuel and trip records
    • Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance
  • Qualifications:
    • Certificate of Secondary Education
    • Valid Class C or E driving license
    • One year of accident-free driving experience
    • Advanced Driving Course (NIT or equivalent) is a plus

2. The Immigration Department – Tanzania

A key security agency under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Immigration Department is responsible for regulating and facilitating migration services in the country. Established under the Immigration Act of 1995, the department continues to play a critical role in national security.

Position: Accounts Assistant II (1 Post – Re-advertised)

  • Location: Unguja
  • Duties:
    • Keep accurate financial records and prepare vouchers
    • Manage invoices, receipts, and documentation
    • Deliver financial correspondences to relevant banks
  • Qualifications:
    • Certificate of Secondary/Advanced Education
    • Certificate in Accountancy or ATEC I from NBAA

General Requirements for All Applicants:

  • Must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 to 45 years
  • Submit a signed application letter (English or Swahili)
  • Include a recent passport photo
  • Attach certified copies of all academic and professional certificates
  • Foreign qualifications must be verified by NECTA, TCU, or NACTE
  • Provide three reputable referees with valid contacts
  • Retired public servants are not eligible
  • Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to indicate their status
