Mwiba Holdings Limited is a registered Tanzanian company under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 212) and a leading hospitality company with operations in Arusha, Meatu-Simiyu, and Mara regions.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is based in Arusha and will require regular travel to our various project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise all construction activities from design through execution and handover.
- Liaise with external contractors and consultants to ensure deliverables meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor the performance and timelines of third-party service providers.
- Lead daily site activities and supervise on-site casual teams to ensure quality workmanship and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental guidelines, and building regulations.
- Track project expenses and manage cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Ensure all projects comply with local and environmental standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in remote locations or hospitality environments.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer literacy.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel or relocate to project sites.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural, decentralized work environment.
- Familiarity with Tanzanian construction laws, OSHA requirements, and labor practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work during high-demand periods, including weekends.
- Assertiveness, patience, and strong organizational capabilities.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
