Akiba Commercial Bank PLC (ACB) is currently seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional who is passionate about analyzing corporate credit portfolios and ensuring that credit policies align with both internal standards and regulatory expectations.
This position requires a deep understanding of credit principles, risk assessment, and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with other departments to ensure timely processing of loan applications and the implementation of proper credit structures.
Key Responsibilities
- In this role, you will analyze corporate credit proposals to assess the underlying risks and ensure that all applications comply with the bank’s credit policy and regulatory framework.
- A major aspect of the job involves reviewing financial information to evaluate the borrowing capacity and profitability of corporate clients.
- You will be expected to support regulatory compliance efforts, including proactively applying for waivers in anticipation of potential breaches in concentration ceilings as mandated by the Bank of Tanzania.
- The role also entails timely facilitation of security documentation to support smooth loan disbursements.
Accuracy in applying pricing structures is essential, and you should be able to identify and justify any deviations from the approved pricing framework. Your input will be critical in maintaining credit discipline and supporting the bank’s lending strategy.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for candidates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in corporate credit analysis within a commercial banking setting is required.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You should also demonstrate sound judgment in assessing client creditworthiness and be proactive in identifying potential risks.
