About the Role
As the Credit Collection Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you’ll oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable and credit control functions, ensuring effective credit risk management, timely collections, and smooth collaboration across departments such as Sales, Front Office, and Reservations.
Your expertise will help strengthen the company’s financial operations while upholding TUI’s exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Receivable and monitor credit limits in line with company policies.
- Ensure the Aging of Debtors is well-maintained through proactive reporting and follow-ups.
- Conduct credit assessments and determine appropriate credit terms for clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice and payment-related issues.
- Lead monthly credit meetings to review financial performance and outstanding accounts.
- Prepare aging reports, analyze receivable data, and assist in month-end closings.
- Supervise the collections process, ensuring timely recovery of dues.
- Identify and mitigate potential credit risks, escalating critical issues when necessary.
- Reconcile and maintain up-to-date debtors’ accounts.
- Train and guide the Accounts Receivable team, fostering a culture of financial discipline and service excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this position, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Credit Manager or similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or international hospitality brand.
- Strong understanding of credit control, accounts receivable processes, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., Opera, ERP systems).
- Knowledge of internal controls, auditing standards, and risk management practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills in English.
