Role Purpose
The Internal Auditor plays a critical role in identifying organizational risks, evaluating internal controls, and enhancing risk management and governance systems. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work within multiple departments and make recommendations that improve business processes and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct opening meetings with stakeholders to outline audit scope and procedures.
- Document and analyze business processes, identifying risks and internal control mechanisms.
- Support ICT audit functions and contribute to data analytics requirements.
- Execute audit tests and prepare detailed working papers in line with IIA standards.
- Recommend improvements to address process gaps and strengthen internal controls.
- Draft clear, insightful audit reports for management review.
- Participate in consulting projects to assess risk and provide value-added insights for process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with IT, Computer Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience:
- 0–2 years in internal audit.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA) is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with Data Analytics and audit tools like Teammate Audit Software is preferred.
