About e-GA
Established under the e-Government Act No.10 of 2019, e-GA is tasked with coordinating and promoting digital government initiatives while enforcing compliance with ICT standards across public institutions. 1. ICT Officer II – Application Programmer (2 Posts)
Key Tasks:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web/mobile/desktop applications
- Perform system analysis, prototyping, coding, and documentation
- Ensure software quality, reliability, and performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT, CS, or related field
- Proficiency in PHP, Java (mandatory); C++, .NET, Python (advantageous)
- Experience with modern frameworks, Git, SDLC, and CI/CD tools
2. ICT Officer II – Network (2 Posts)
Key Tasks:
- Design and maintain secure LAN/WAN networks
- Install and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and ensure network compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or Computer Engineering
- Knowledge in BGP, MPLS, VLANs, Cisco/Juniper systems
- Certifications like CCNA, CEH are an added advantage
3. ICT Officer II – Database Administration (2 Posts)
Key Tasks:
- Manage database systems, backups, and performance tuning
- Ensure data security and high availability
- Install and configure database software
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT or related
- Deep knowledge in PostgreSQL, MySQL, Linux/Unix systems
- Certifications like MCSE, RHCSE preferred
4. ICT Officer II – Business Analyst (1 Post)
Key Tasks:
- Analyze business processes and translate them into functional specs
- Act as a bridge between tech teams and users
- Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related
- Familiar with project management, OOA/OOD, QA practices
- Certifications like PMP, CISA, PRINCE2 add value
5. ICT Officer II – Security Management (1 Post)
Key Tasks:
- Develop and enforce ICT security policies
- Monitor cybersecurity threats, perform penetration tests
- Provide training and incident response
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, CS, or related
- Experience with SOC, NOC, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools
- Certifications like CISSP, CEH, CISM desirable
6. ICT Officer II – Standards & Compliance (1 Post)
Key Tasks:
- Implement and monitor adherence to ICT standards
- Conduct audits and provide compliance reports
- Promote global best practices in public ICT systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in IT, CS, or Computer Engineering
- Familiar with ISO, COBIT, TOGAF frameworks
- Knowledge of cyber laws and e-Government guidelines is a plus
7. ICT Officer II – Helpdesk (1 Post)
Key Tasks:
- Provide first-line technical support to public institutions
- Monitor service issues and escalate where needed
- Enhance customer support processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related
- Strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills
- Certifications like ITIL, PMP are an advantage
8. ICT Officer II – Data Analyst (1 Post)
Key Tasks:
- Process, analyze, and visualize large datasets
- Design and deploy BI tools and dashboards
- Support data-driven decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Data Science, IT, or related
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Tableau, OLAP, ETL tools
- Background in AI/ML is a bonus
