Position 1: Administration Officer

Location: Arusha, Tanzania
Reports To: Country Director
Department: Administration

Job Purpose:

To provide efficient administrative support to the company by maintaining inventory records, overseeing vehicle management, and ensuring daily operational compliance with Tanzanian labor and regulatory standards. Expert Consultancy Limited Vacancies May 2025

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records for seed stock, supplies, and office equipment across all locations.
  • Conduct periodic stock and asset audits.
  • Track inventory issuance and prepare requisition reports.
  • Tag, track, and oversee maintenance of assets.
  • Liaise with TOSCI and manage all related applications.

Vehicle & Transport Oversight

  • Maintain and update records for all company vehicles.
  • Ensure timely servicing, repairs, and inspections.
  • Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and vehicle expenses.
  • Coordinate transport logistics in line with company policies.

General Office Administration

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and functional office environment.
  • Manage third-party service providers (e.g. cleaners, security).
  • Organize staff travel, meetings, and accommodation.
  • Maintain organized filing of all administrative and statutory documents.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for administrative matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar administrative role.
  • Solid knowledge of Tanzanian labor laws and administrative procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Position 2: Commercial Lead

Job Description:

The Commercial Lead will be responsible for formulating and executing strategies that drive revenue growth and expand market presence. This role oversees sales, credit control, marketing, business development, and warehouse logistics to ensure effective commercial performance from seed processing to sales.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Design and implement commercial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify new customer segments and revenue channels.
  • Set achievable targets and monitor performance KPIs.

2. Sales & Marketing

  • Lead the sales team to exceed growth targets.
  • Oversee and optimize marketing campaigns and brand initiatives.
  • Guide product positioning and support with market research.

3. Business Development

  • Cultivate partnerships with distributors and clients.
  • Identify opportunities in product and service expansion.
  • Negotiate key contracts and high-value agreements.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage sales, marketing, logistics, and warehouse teams.
  • Instill a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Identify training needs and support skills development.

5. Warehouse & Logistics

  • Oversee warehouse operations ensuring efficient product handling.
  • Align inventory planning with sales forecasts.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve delivery.

6. Financial Oversight

  • Manage department budget with a focus on ROI.
  • Analyze commercial performance to inform strategic decisions.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A Master’s is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years in commercial leadership roles, preferably in Agribusiness.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue and managing diverse teams.

Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of marketing, sales, and supply chain operations.
