Job Description
Felixstowe Academy is seeking a qualified and motivated Montessori and EYFS Teacher to join its vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for nurturing young learners through engaging lessons, personalized guidance, and creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide, observe, and assess children in the classroom.
- Develop lesson plans, independent learning activities, and tailored teaching methods.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment.
- Build strong relationships with students based on trust and respect.
- Serve as a role model, instilling values such as honesty, respect, tolerance, and kindness.
- Monitor student progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure classroom supplies and equipment are well maintained.
- Manage student records and assist with administrative tasks.
- Participate in school activities, including trips and events.
Requirements for Montessori Teacher
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (recommended).
- Accredited Montessori training certification.
- Additional education or professional development in teaching is an advantage.
- Strong passion for alternative education approaches.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
