The Board is now hiring four critical roles that will shape the future of gaming compliance, public communication, financial accountability, and risk control. 1. Inspection and Compliance Manager (1 Post)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Gaming, ICT, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Business Admin, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a relevant field, with senior-level expertise.
Core Responsibilities:
- Inspect gaming activities in line with GBT standards.
- Enforce gaming laws and ensure officers perform effectively.
- Maintain and develop gaming device databases.
- Review gaming standards and inspection methodologies.
- Monitor licensee compliance and propose enforcement measures.
- Conduct studies to identify legislative gaps and industry abuses.
- Ensure timely payment of statutory fees by licensees.
- Improve internal business processes for better service delivery.
2. Communication Officer I (1 Post)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Mass Communication, International Relations, or Business Communication.
- Minimum of 4 years of related professional experience.
Core Responsibilities:
- Coordinate corporate public engagement and communication strategies.
- Create multimedia content (videos, photos).
- Manage internal communications and update the GBT website.
- Organize events, CSR initiatives, and protocol services.
- Handle social media accounts and online presence.
- Develop creative and impactful communication strategies.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and manage public/media responses.
- Support both internal and external PR efforts.
3. Accountant II (1 Post)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or Business Admin (Accounting/Finance focus).
- Must hold CPA (T) or an equivalent professional certification recognized by NBAA.
Core Responsibilities:
- Record invoices and manage payment documentation.
- Maintain accounting journals and petty cash ledgers.
- Prepare schedules and bank reconciliations.
- Administer staff loans and imprests.
- Support with other finance-related duties as assigned.
4. Risk Management Officer II (1 Post)
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Dar es Salaam
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Social Protection, Insurance, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or Accounting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Recommend risk policy strategies and record potential risks.
- Participate in budget preparations.
- Maintain the Risk Register and build a risk-aware culture.
- Educate and train GBT staff on risk management practices.
- Handle any other risk-related assignments from supervisors.
