1. Office Management Secretary Grade II – 2 Positions Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Typing official letters, reports, and confidential documents
- Receiving visitors, addressing their concerns, and directing them accordingly
- Maintaining records of appointments, events, and meetings for supervisors
- Retrieving and organizing necessary files and documents
- Distributing files to relevant officers or departments
- Collecting, organizing, and returning documents to designated places
- Preparing summaries and logistics for various meetings
- Compiling office supply needs
- Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors
Qualifications Required:
- Must have completed Form IV or Form VI with a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Secretarial Studies
- Proficiency in shorthand typing: 100 words per minute in both Kiswahili and English
- Competence in office computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and Publisher
- Certification must be from a government-recognized institution
Salary Scale:
- Government Salary Scale TGS C
2. Driver Grade II – 15 Positions Available
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety
- Transporting staff to various destinations for official duties
- Performing minor vehicle maintenance
- Keeping accurate vehicle logbooks
- Distributing official documents and letters
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness
- Carrying out other tasks as directed by supervisors
Qualifications Required:
- Completed Form IV (Certificate of Secondary Education)
- Valid Class ‘E’ or ‘C’ driving license with at least one year of accident-free driving experience
- Possession of relevant driving training certificates and must have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA or any other government-recognized institution
Salary Scale:
- Government Salary Scale TGS B
General Application Requirements
All applicants must:
- Be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years
- Applicants with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must clearly state the type of disability
- Attach a certified birth certificate
- Not be employed in entry-level government positions unless they meet the transfer guidelines under Circular No. CCA. 45/257/01/D/140 dated 30 November 2010
- Include a detailed and signed CV with active contact details and three referees
- Attach academic and professional certificates certified by a lawyer/advocate
- Provisional results or result slips for Form IV and VI will not be accepted
- Applicants with foreign qualifications must have their certificates verified by relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, NACTE)
- Retired public servants are not eligible unless approved by the Chief Secretary
- Applicants with name discrepancies in their academic and ID documents must attach a Deed Poll or Affidavit
- Driver applicants must attach driving training certificates qualifying them for their license class
- Legal action will be taken against applicants who provide false information
