Job Summary: Learning & Culture Intern

The Learning & Culture Intern will provide operational support for implementing learning initiatives and promoting organizational culture within Heifer Africa. From coordinating training logistics to contributing to employee engagement events, this internship is a gateway into the HR world.

Eligible Locations:

  • Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Malawi, Senegal, Uganda, Rwanda, Zambia

Key Responsibilities

A. Learning & Development Support (40%)

  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions
  • Track employee participation
  • Format presentation materials
  • Collect and analyze feedback from training evaluations

B. Culture & Engagement Activities (30%)

  • Assist in organizing cultural events and internal communication
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) activities
  • Conduct basic data entry and survey result analysis

C. Administrative Support (20%)

  • Organize digital files and folders
  • Take and distribute meeting notes
  • Assist in sending internal emails and reminders

D. Other Tasks (10%)

  • Participate in team meetings
  • Support small-scale projects to gain exposure to HR practices

Minimum Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • 6 months to 1 year experience (including internships or volunteer roles)
  • Knowledge of L&D principles
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and collaboratively
