Job Summary
As a Transit or Local Driver, you’ll be entrusted with transporting goods safely and punctually between company locations and client destinations. The role demands responsibility, alertness, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Operate company vehicles efficiently and deliver goods on time.
- Vehicle Checks: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel receipts, and ensure proper documentation.
- Loading Support: Assist in loading/unloading and secure cargo to prevent damage.
- Communication: Stay in touch with dispatchers and notify them of delays or incidents.
- Customer Interaction: Act professionally and resolve minor customer concerns on the spot.
- Route Planning: Use navigation tools to choose efficient delivery routes.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all road safety and cargo protection protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Certificate of Ordinary Level Education.
- License: Valid Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: Prior experience with large vehicles preferred.
- Skills:
- Solid driving and navigation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
- Other:
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Medical fitness certification may be required.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (Primary Focus)
- Maintain up-to-date employee records in line with legal requirements.
- Assist with onboarding, policy updates, and compliance tracking.
- Help prepare contracts, warning letters, and disciplinary documents.
- Coordinate monthly payroll input and HR audits.
Legal Support (Secondary Focus)
- Draft and review employment contracts, agreements, and official letters.
- Research Tanzanian labor laws and provide updates to relevant departments.
- Handle confidential legal files and support internal investigations.
- Assist in grievance handling and liaise with external legal representatives.
- Support company compliance, corporate governance, and risk management tasks.
Reporting Duties
- Prepare HR reports, such as contract expiration trackers.
- Submit weekly legal reports to HR & Admin Manager.
Additional Tasks
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or directors.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years in a similar role, preferably involving HR legal compliance.
- Knowledge:
- Tanzanian employment and labor laws.
- Legal documentation and contract management.
- HR processes and compliance audits.
- Skills:
- Excellent legal research and documentation skills.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with MS Office and legal software tools.
