What is the ITEC Programme?
Established in 1964, the ITEC Programme is a cornerstone of India’s development partnership model. It provides training in diverse areas such as entrepreneurship, public health, IT, cyber security, women empowerment, digital governance, and more. The initiative plays a significant role in deepening diplomatic and developmental ties between India and its partner countries, including Tanzania.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarships are open exclusively to Tanzanian government officials, with the following eligibility criteria:
- Aged between 25 and 45 years
- Minimum of five (5) years of continuous service in the Tanzanian public sector
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Physically and mentally fit
- Applying for a course relevant to their current role or department

Application Process
Interested and eligible Tanzanian government officials must follow these steps:
- Visit the official ITEC portal at www.itecgoi.in to fill out the online application form.
- Print the completed form and prepare the following documents:
- Permission letter from employer
- Copy of valid passport
- Updated CV (in English)
- English Language Proficiency Certificate (from employer or academic institution)
- Medical report from a government hospital
- Signed Undertaking and Employer Certification on the form
- Submit the complete application by hand or via EMS to:
