Job Openings
1. Research Assistants – Governance and Health Financing (14 Positions)
Job Purpose: Support the mapping of Tanzania’s supply chain governance and financing landscape by collecting qualitative and quantitative data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in training sessions and understand data collection objectives
- Revise and translate data collection tools (Kiswahili & English)
- Schedule and conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and document reviews
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and ethical compliance
- Prepare daily progress reports, field notes, and final activity reports
- Communicate regularly with team leads and support project logistics
Deliverables:
- Completed assessment tools (qualitative & quantitative)
- Field notes, audio files, and daily progress reports
- Activity summary reports highlighting challenges and recommendations
Duration: 17 days (2 training, 1 pilot, 2 travel, 10 fieldwork)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Pharmacy, or related fields
- Experience in qualitative/quantitative data collection
- Proficiency in Kiswahili and English
- Knowledge of Tanzania’s health system and supply chain concepts (advantageous)
2. Research Assistants – Governance and Health Financing Transcribers (14 Positions)
Job Purpose: Transcribe qualitative data collected during research on Tanzania’s health financing and governance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe data daily and meet quality targets
- Submit transcriptions for review and feedback
- Participate in team meetings and field activities
- Maintain communication with supervisors and ensure project safety
- Complete tasks as assigned by team leads
Deliverables:
- Clean and validated datasets/transcripts
- Activity reports summarizing observations and challenges
Duration: 14 days
Qualifications: Same as above
3. Data Collectors – Private Sector Landscape Assessment (9 Positions)
Job Purpose: Support the private sector engagement assessment for Tanzania’s pharmaceutical supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data using a pre-developed questionnaire
- Conduct interviews, document observations, and engage public/private sector stakeholders
- Provide feedback during tool refinement workshops
- Submit completed questionnaires and field reports
