Internship Position – September 2025

Position Title: Intern – Kazi Startfunding (1 Post)
Location: Ifakara Town Council, Morogoro
Reports to: Program Coordinator
Application Deadline: Friday, September 5, 2025, at 17:00 hrs (EAT)

This internship is ideal for fresh graduates who want to gain valuable exposure in non-profit operations, grassroots project management, and inclusive financing.

Key Responsibilities

The selected intern will work directly with the Program Coordinator and take part in community outreach, financial documentation, and project monitoring. Specific duties include:

  • Identifying eligible loan applicants and evaluating project/business proposals.
  • Supporting the loan application and repayment tracking process.
  • Conducting outreach to engage new beneficiaries and cooperatives.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, receipts, and expenditure reports.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Monitoring funded projects and providing technical guidance.
  • Collecting success stories and documenting impact.
  • Supporting training sessions in financial literacy and cooperative management.
  • Representing the organization in community events and stakeholder forums.
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as meeting minutes and field reports.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Rural Development, Development Planning, Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and strong ethical values.
  • Fluency in both English and Swahili is an added advantage.
