1. Senior Admissions Officer Grade III – 1 Position
Location: Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic, Research and Consultancy (DVC-ARC)
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Management, Marketing, or equivalent field; OR a Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an Admissions Officer in a higher learning institution or related organization.
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with TCU, NACTVET, and NECTA regulations.
- Strong grasp of university admission policies for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Skilled in Student Information Systems (e.g., OSIM, ARIS/SARIS), Microsoft Office Suite, and online admissions portals.
- Strong data analysis, documentation, and reporting abilities.
- Excellent communication, team coordination, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee application reviews, student registration, and online admission systems.
- Handle inquiries from regulatory bodies, students, and stakeholders.
- Maintain admissions data, statistics, and official documentation.
- Participate in exhibitions, marketing, and communication initiatives.
- Issue student IDs and manage admission correspondence.
2. Legal Officer Grade I – 1 Position
Location: Office of the Corporate Counsel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) plus Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania.
- Master’s Degree in Law (LLM), preferably in Corporate and Commercial Law.
- Must be an enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a legal role at a higher learning institution.
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent legal drafting and litigation management.
- Strong knowledge of legal frameworks governing universities.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and compliance monitoring.
- Competent in legal research, document registration, and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on all legal matters concerning the University.
- Draft, vet, and manage contracts, MoUs, and legal instruments.
- Represent the University in courts and tribunals.
- Handle legal compliance, litigation, and external legal liaison.
- Maintain confidentiality of legal data and provide legal training when necessary.
3. Senior Office Management Assistant Grade I – 1 Position
Location: Office of the Vice Chancellor
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies (mandatory); a Bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Studies, Office Management, Public Administration, or related field is an added advantage.
- Certification in ICT applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) is required.
Experience:
- At least five (5) years’ experience as an Office Management Assistant in a higher education institution or public sector.
Key Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise in office and executive management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, and digital filing systems.
- High-level typing, transcription, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and event coordination capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage diaries, schedules, meetings, and high-level communication for the Vice Chancellor.
- Maintain confidential records and handle incoming/outgoing correspondence.
- Organize travel, conferences, and University functions.
- Draft and edit memos, letters, and executive reports.
- Assist in document management, presentations, and administrative tasks.
