Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Light Truck Drivers to join our logistics team. The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting river sand and other materials to GGML project sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Operate company light trucks safely to deliver sand and other materials to designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate trip logs and fuel usage records.
- Ensure trucks are clean and in proper working condition.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety policies, and environmental procedures.
- Communicate effectively with project supervisors, loading teams, and site coordinators.
- Report delays, incidents, or any mechanical issues promptly.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- A valid Tanzanian Driving License (Class C or E).
- Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) – At least four passes.
- Vocational Certificate in Driving from a recognized institution (e.g., VETA).
- Minimum of three (3) years proven experience operating light trucks.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic offenses or accidents.
- Knowledge of road safety practices and basic mechanical checks.
- Physically fit and able to work in challenging, remote conditions.
- Basic communication skills in English and fluency in Kiswahili are an added advantage.
