Available Positions:
1. Revenue Collectors – 30 Positions
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least Form Four (Ordinary Level) or Form Six (Advanced Level) education.
- Experience in tax collection and POS (Point of Sale) machine usage is highly preferred.
- Strong ethical conduct and clean record are an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure individuals pay the appropriate taxes and fees at designated collection points.
- Safeguard collected funds and ensure they are deposited into the bank within 24 hours.
- Maintain POS systems to function properly during working hours.
- Report technical POS issues to IT personnel for prompt resolution.
- Promptly escalate incidents of tax evasion or collection malpractice to the council for action.
- Carry out any additional duties as directed by your supervisor.
2. Council Police Officers – 5 Positions
Qualifications:
- Must have completed Standard Seven and be capable of reading and writing effectively.
- Should have successfully completed Mgambo training provided by the national defense force and obtained a valid certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in various operations concerning cleanliness, environmental protection, and council tax enforcement.
- Maintain public order in areas with large gatherings.
- Ensure citizens follow laws set by the council and central government.
- Monitor smuggling activities and ensure proper tax payments on goods.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by your superior.
General Requirements for All Applicants:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen and resident of Manyoni District.
- Must be under the age of 45.
- Must submit a well-written personal CV with valid contact details and three referees.
- Attach copies of Form Four/Form Six education certificates, professional training, and birth certificate.
