PhD Applicants

  • Must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Must be not more than 40 years old by 1 January 2026
  • Must submit:
    • A detailed research proposal (about 1500 words)
    • A supporting statement from a prospective supervisor at a recognized university in Mauritius

Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Applicants

  • Must have an undergraduate degree with at least upper second-class honours or GPA of 60% and above
  • Preferably possess a Master’s degree
  • Must not have reached 40 years of age by 1 January 2026

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  1. Certified copy of birth certificate
  2. Certified copy of the biodata page of passport (if available)
  3. Certified educational certificates and transcripts
  4. If documents are not in English, an official certified translation must be included
  5. Letter of conditional offer or acknowledgement of application from a public university in Mauritius
  6. Medical certificate signed and stamped by a registered medical practitioner (as per Section 6 of the application form)
  7. Study plan for Masters applicants (approx. 750 words)

Successful candidates will receive:
