The Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions:

1. Driver Class II – (5 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety.
  • Transporting staff on official assignments.
  • Performing minor vehicle repairs.
  • Collecting and distributing official documents.
  • Maintaining travel records in the logbook.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the vehicle.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV).
  • Valid Driving License Class C or E with at least one (1) year of driving experience without causing accidents.
  • Attended Basic Driving Course from VETA or other government-recognized institutions.

Salary Scale:

TGS B (Government Salary Scale).

2. Records Management Assistant Class II – (4 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Registering incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Distributing files to officers and retrieving them.
  • Returning files to designated shelves or cabinets.
  • Monitoring the circulation of files within the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Secondary (Form VI).
  • Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Computer literacy is mandatory.

Salary Scale:

TGS C (Government Salary Scale).

3. Office Management Secretary II – (5 Posts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Typing official documents, including confidential materials.
  • Receiving visitors and directing them appropriately.
  • Managing appointments, schedules, and office events.
  • Retrieving and distributing files and documents.
  • Preparing minutes, meeting agendas, and office supplies requests.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV) or Advanced Secondary (Form VI).
  • Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies from a government-recognized institution.
  • Must have passed shorthand in both Kiswahili and English at 100 wpm.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher.

Salary Scale:

TGS C (Government Salary Scale).

General Conditions for All Applicants

  1. Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged not more than 45 years.

  4. Public Servants applying for transfers must route their applications through their current employers.

  6. Applicants who studied abroad must have their certificates verified by TCU, NECTA, or NACTE.
  7. Retired public servants are not eligible unless they have special permission from the Chief Secretary.
  8. Any false information provided will lead to disqualification and legal action.
