Position: Driver Grade II (7 Posts)
Job Location: Mwanga District Council
Salary Scale: TGS B
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Transport staff to various work destinations as required.
- Conduct minor vehicle repairs and basic maintenance.
- Collect and deliver official documents as assigned.
- Maintain a detailed travel logbook for all trips.
- Clean and maintain the vehicle regularly.
- Carry out other duties as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Academic Qualification: Must have completed Form Four (Certificate of Secondary Education Examination – CSEE).
- Driving License: Must possess a valid Class E or C driving license, and have at least one year of driving experience without causing any accidents.
- Training: Must have completed a Basic Driving Course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.
General Application Requirements:
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged not more than 45 years, unless already employed in the public sector.

- Current government employees applying for a different job cadre must submit their applications through their current employer.

- Retired public servants are not eligible unless they have clearance from the Chief Secretary.
- Public servants currently holding entry-level positions should not apply for the same entry grade.
