About NACOPHA
Established in 2005, the National Council of People Living with HIV (NACOPHA) is the highest representative body and unified voice for PLHIV organizations, networks, and individuals across mainland Tanzania. With over 5,000 member organizations, NACOPHA plays a pivotal role in policy advocacy, community empowerment, and service delivery.
As a sub-sub-recipient (SSR) of the Global Fund’s TB/HIV Community Grant, NACOPHA supports efforts to expand community-based HIV and TB services. Working in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania, civil society, and the private sector, NACOPHA implements programs in 39 district councils nationwide.
Program Goals under Global Fund Cycle 7 (GFC7)
NACOPHA’s GFC7 program, implemented alongside the Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) and four SSRs, aims to:
- Reduce new HIV infections by 85% by 2025 (from 2010 baseline).
- Lower mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) to below 4% at the end of breastfeeding.
- Cut AIDS-related deaths by 80% from 2010 levels.
- Reduce HIV-related stigma to less than 5% by 2025.
- Strengthen TB detection, treatment, and prevention to lower incidence and mortality.
To achieve these goals, NACOPHA seeks skilled professionals for the following positions:
Available Positions
1. Driver (3 Posts)
- Duty Stations: Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza
- Reports to: NACOPHA Administration Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport staff, visitors, and equipment.
- Maintain vehicles through daily checks, servicing, and repairs.
- Track mileage, fuel consumption, and prepare reports.
- Ensure adherence to traffic laws, organizational safety policies, and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications:
- Secondary education or driving certificate from a recognized college.
- Advanced Driving Course certification (NIT/VETA).
- Valid driving license (B, C, D, E classes).
- At least 3 years’ experience as a driver with NGOs or international organizations.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
2. Zonal KVP Officer (3 Posts)
- Duty Stations: Arusha, Dodoma, Mwanza
- Reports to: Zonal Coordinator / NACOPHA KVP Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement quality behavioral, biomedical, and structural interventions for key and vulnerable populations (KVP).
- Collaborate with LGAs, health facilities, and partners to ensure effective service delivery.
- Supervise peer educators and provide technical support.
- Prepare periodic reports and ensure compliance with national guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health, Sociology, Social Work, or Community Development.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in public health, particularly HIV-related programs.
- Familiarity with HIV/AIDS policies, guidelines, and service delivery frameworks.
- Strong background in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and program reporting.

- Fluency in both English and Swahili.
