Key Responsibilities
As the Property Manager, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- Property Operations: Manage the day-to-day maintenance and functionality of the embassy’s buildings, residences, and equipment.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for property upkeep, maintenance, and renovations in coordination with the Norwegian National Property Board.
- Financial Management: Oversee and manage property budgets, track expenses, and optimize procurement and vendor management processes.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants and service providers, ensuring a positive environment and consistent service supply.
- Compliance and Security: Enforce local regulations and implement robust security protocols to protect embassy properties and their occupants.
- Technical Support: Provide support for IT-related matters at the embassy and conduct regular property inspections and audits.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, with a focus on:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, with a preference for experience in a diplomatic or similar context.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electricity, and general mechanics. A degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
- IT Proficiency: Excellent IT knowledge to support embassy operations.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong organizational, leadership, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and Kiswahili is essential.
- Other Requirements: A valid Class C driving license is required.
