Contract Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)
Compensation: TZS 600,000 per month (subject to statutory deductions)

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern – Finance & Administration Support to assist our Finance & Administration team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong interest in financial management in the NGO sector. The intern will work closely with the Finance & Administration Manager, gaining hands-on experience in donor fund management, compliance, and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, donor reports, and organisational budgets.
- Support proper recording and monitoring of donor funds and ensure grant compliance.
- Participate in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and other statutory filings.
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and verification of supporting documents.
- Monitor project expenditures and support financial forecasting.
- Support procurement and vendor management processes.
- Maintain organised financial records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Provide general office administration and logistics support as needed.
- Assist with preparations for internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from a recognised institution.
- Actively pursuing CPA(T) certification.
- Up to 2 years of work or internship experience in finance or administration (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and NGO operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
