About the Role
Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is offering a fantastic opportunity within its Manufacturing Department. The successful candidate will operate at the heart of the production line, ensuring smooth and efficient packaging operations. You will report directly to the Team Leader – Packaging, playing a crucial role in upholding product quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Process & Operations Control
- Operate machinery as per standard procedures.
- Conduct routine quality checks and monitor results.
- Track and reduce waste through continuous evaluation.
- Quickly respond to line issues and production stoppages.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area using 5S principles.
- Support team tasks during flavor and size changeovers.
Maintenance & Equipment Care
- Perform machine cleaning, lubrication, and inspections.
- Assist with basic maintenance and breakdown support.
- Work closely with the maintenance planner and artisans.
Quality Control & Data Analysis
- Execute product quality tests as per standard protocols.
- Calibrate quality control tools and escalate issues when needed.
- Log test results and perform trend analysis for continuous improvement.
Effective Communication
- Actively engage in shift meetings and team reviews.
- Use communication tools (like shift handover logs) to report and resolve issues.
- Contribute to team improvement goals and discussions.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Apply techniques like 5Why, OPLs, and Pareto analysis to identify and fix issues.
- Escalate complex problems as needed and verify resolution effectiveness.
- Suggest and document process improvements for better efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you should have:
- A Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting (FMCG industry preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
- High levels of integrity and accountability.
