KPMG Tanzania provides audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse mix of local and international clients. This particular opportunity is offered in partnership with a nonprofit organization (NGO) focused on health, education, and community development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

As a Program Analyst, you will report to the Operations Director and play a crucial role in monitoring, evaluating, and improving program performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation and review of program progress reports and mid-year reviews alongside program directors.
  • Analyzing and evaluating project effectiveness and providing actionable recommendations to enhance outcomes.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations on program results, metrics, and strategic insights.
  • Developing Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) plans for projects, including indicator selection, target setting, and reporting.
  • Collaborating with program managers, team members, and external stakeholders to ensure goals are met.
  • Documenting lessons learned and best practices throughout project development, implementation, and oversight.
  • Establishing systems to validate monitoring and evaluation data through activity reviews and progress report analysis.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Operations or Executive Director.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Statistics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation or an equivalent qualification is an added advantage.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in program analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Proficiency in evaluating quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E): Skilled in designing frameworks to track progress and impact.
  • Research Proficiency: Capable of conducting literature reviews, needs assessments, and policy analysis.
  • Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Understanding program budgets and cost-effectiveness.
  • Project Management Tools: Familiarity with MS Project, Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, educators, healthcare providers, and communities.
  • Report Writing & Presentation: Strong skills in communicating findings to diverse audiences.
