Based in Dodoma and working in partnership with Christoffel-Blindenmission (CBM), DCT is looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Coordinator to lead the implementation of a vital health initiative – “Enhancing Access to Inclusive Eye Health for Children in the Central Zone of Tanzania.”
This full-time role will be based at Mvumi Hospital’s Department of Ophthalmology and offers the chance to contribute to a meaningful cause while advancing your professional career.

Contract Duration: One (1) year (full-time)
Key Responsibilities
As Project Coordinator, your role will focus on managing and driving the success of the project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the effective and timely implementation of project activities in line with the agreed plan and donor requirements.
- Developing and tracking schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Managing financial forecasting and expenditure reporting in collaboration with finance staff.
- Liaising with stakeholders, including government officials and NGOs, to ensure engagement and alignment.
- Coordinating training sessions, workshops, and outreach programs.
- Overseeing procurement and resource allocation for the project.
- Collecting and documenting project data, including visual materials for communication and donor reporting.
- Monitoring progress, identifying challenges, and recommending course corrections.
- Ensuring compliance with CBM guidelines and DCT standards.
- Preparing and submitting timely reports, including progress updates and final project evaluations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
To qualify, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- At least 2 years of experience in project or program management within a development organization.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, reporting, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with procurement procedures and donor compliance standards.
- A background in financial management is an asset.
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Experience in public health projects, especially eye health, is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and implement project activities efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable facilitating workshops and community engagement events.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
