The state-of-the-art Maternity and Newborn Wing in Dar es Salaam serves as a major referral center for emergency and high-risk deliveries in Tanzania’s Eastern Zone.
Your Role as a Radiographer
As part of CCBRT’s expert medical team, the Radiographer will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, echocardiography, and mammography.
- Operating and maintaining radiographic equipment in line with safety protocols.
- Collaborating with doctors and healthcare staff to ensure precise diagnoses and patient care.
- Adhering to infection prevention and radiation protection guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A 3-year Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography from a recognized institution.
- At least 4 years of experience in a busy radiology department (preferred).
- Proficiency in various medical imaging technologies.
- Certification or training in Echocardiography (required).
- Registration with the Medical Radiology and Imaging Professionals’ Council (MRIPC).
- Strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and patient management skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving abilities.
