Available Positions
1. Motor Vehicle Mechanic – 1 Post
Key Duties:
- Inspect vehicles and prepare repair cost estimates.
- Prepare maintenance schedules for council vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles are insured.
- Carry out vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Advise on proper vehicle care and maintenance.
Qualifications:
- At least Form Four education plus one of the following:
- Motor Vehicle Mechanic Trade Test Grade I
- NTA Level III, FTC, or Diploma in a related field
- Valid Driving Licence from a government-recognized institution
2. Office Assistant – 3 Posts
Key Duties:
- Maintain cleanliness inside and outside offices, ensuring proper use of cleaning materials.
- Keep records of all cleaning equipment.
- Plant and water flowers around the office premises.
- Organize office files and equipment neatly.
- Provide preliminary reports for cleaning material needs.
- Receive and welcome visitors.
- Handle office documents and distribute them to relevant departments.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Form Four graduate, with good passes in English and Kiswahili.
3. Security Guard – 1 Post
Key Duties:
- Verify that all office property leaving the premises has valid authorization documents.
- Check the legitimacy of all goods entering the premises.
- Provide day and night security for office buildings and property.
- Ensure doors and windows are properly locked after working hours.
- Allow only authorized visitors into office premises.
- Respond to emergencies such as fire, floods, or other hazards and report to relevant authorities.
- Advise on improving workplace security.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Form Four graduate who has completed training in National Service (JKT), Police, Militia, or Firefighting from a recognized institution.
General Conditions for All Applicants
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Attach a birth certificate.
- Public servants applying for a career change must submit their applications through their current employers.
- Clearly state the position applied for in the subject line of the application letter and on the envelope.
- Submit a detailed CV with reliable contact information and three referees.
- Attach academic certificates, Form Four and Form Six certificates (where applicable), and professional qualifications.
- Result slips, transcripts, testimonials, and provisional results will not be accepted.
- Applicants must be below 45 years of age.
- Retired public servants are not eligible unless they have special approval from the Chief Secretary.
- Forged certificates or false information will result in legal action.
- Applicants with foreign qualifications must ensure their certificates are verified by TCU or NECTA.
